About COLOMBIA VIVA

The Colombian Fokloredance Group COLOMBIA VIVA was founded in juli 2003 by people by different nationalities in order to promote a more positive picture of Colombian culture in Denmark.

Since then COLOMBIA VIVA has participated at many private and public parties, festivals - amoungs those Port of Culture - Copenhagen but also the Carnival of Copenhagen.

Our dances

COLOMBIA VIVA offers shows with folklore and popular dance with typical clothings from the different regions in Colombia. Amoung the dances you will find - Cumbia, Joropo, San Juanero, Torbellino, Fandango, Salsa and more.

The dances represent almost all cultural zones of Colombia and most dances have roots from African, Spanish and Aboriginian music and dances.

The group works constantly to expand its repotoire with new dances and at the time being the group has more than 19 different dances.

Rehersals

A the time being our rehersals will be every friday from 5 to 7 pm at Prismen, Holmbladsgade 71, 2300 CPH S. Drop us an email and u will receive our emails informing you of our rehersals.
